I dislike when a company shows their address in the footer.
This even do this if they offer a product internationally!
This may form the impression that the business is far smaller (or has limited capabilities) than often the case.
For local SEO, small businesses have their address in the footer because they are… small. This helps them earn organic traffic for keywords with local intent. They wouldn’t stand a chance beyond their location for most keywords, so this makes sense.
However, including an address on your site is likely a trustworthiness factor for Google’s E-E-A-T. This is better suited to a Contact page though, not sitewide.
While creating pages for each city with an office is a good strategy for local SEO, it’s unrelated here.
